Active Release Technique

A combination of massage & manipulation, accompanied by active motion.  ART is used to treat overuse injuries of muscles and tendons by creating pressure and tension while the muscle/tendon is moved through range of motion.  ART is effective for treating: tight hip flexors, leg/hip pain, ankle sprains, muscle strains, pulled hamstring, IT band syndrome, shoulder pain, frozen shoulder/adhesive capsulitis, & carpal tunnel.

Used for pain management and as a compliment to chiropractic care, acupuncture is an ancient technique of creating balance in your body’s natural energy.  According to Chinese medicine, qi and other essential fluids must be able to flow freely throughout the body in order to allow optimal function.  When there is a disruption in the flow of qi, pain and other symptoms begin to manifest.

Common conditions treated with acupuncture: addictions, nausea, infertility, back pain, chronic pain, headaches, allergies, knee pain, shoulder pain, anxiety, and much more.

Cupping is a method used by the Chinese for hundreds of years to improve circulation, decrease pain, and break up tissue adhesions that can be caused by repetitive motion and injury.
It works by creating suction inside a small cup, drawing the blood to the surface of the skin to increase circulation and move essential fluids to the injured area.
Cupping helps relieve: chronic and severe muscle spasms, asthma symptoms, cough and cold symptoms, and helps to increase range of motion.

Kinesio Taping

Great for athletic injuries and chronic pain sufferers, kinesio taping increases blood flow and lymphatic drainage, allowing the body to repair and heal itself.  This unique technique uses specialized tape that gently lifts the skin away from the underlying tissue while supporting the muscles and allowing unrestricted, full range of motion.
This method of supportive taping allows the body to move freely so you can continue your daily activities, while decreasing pain and minimizing damage to the tissue.  The tape is water-resistant and can be worn for up to several days.  Common conditions that are helped by the kinesio taping method are: shoulder pain, shin splints, knee pain, tendinitis, and chronic pain from surgeries and old injuries.
